IN THE NEWS
BIOGRAPHY
In the early days (1996), three members of Grey had a distribution and management deal under the band name Apple Chapel. After four years, they tired of being told how they should sound, and eventually broke the contract.
In 2000, Daniel Boskovic, Michael Balic and Fredrik Niklasson went on to form Grey and, filled with all the hopes for their musical future that the new millennium could bring, they locked themselves in the studio and spent all their free time together recording songs. Ever since breaking away from their previous management and distribution companies, theyve felt they deserve a second chance and have worked very hard to come up with something fresh and new to present to record companies.
Grey have received great demo reviews from magazines and websites all over Sweden. A demo eventually landed in the hands of Dead Frog Records, and a great review ultimately led to the signing of a single deal.
Many would describe Greys music as electronic pop-rock with strong melodies, real nerve and a touch of melancholy. Daniels characteristic vocals provide a personal and atmospheric presence. Greys music has many depths, and would appeal to a wide audience, from fans of soft ballads through to listeners of edgy rock.
Grey are currently in the studio working on new material, which should be ready for release by autumn 2004.
