BIOGRAPHY
Swedish debuting trio Parker immediately created a media buzz when their self financed and self distributed album Aderpale was released in December 2001. The members, all sharing the surname Parker, communicated with their burgeoning fanbase via their website and in any visuals hid behind sun glasses.
So who are these secretive people? Where do they come from? Do they ever take their sun-glasses off?
Nobody seems to be exactly sure but members Eva Parker, Carlos Parker and Klaus Parker assures their fans that their music speaks for itself, and that they are here to stay. They write, play and produce everything themselves and have their own record company.
In June 2002 Parker's new cd "Delusions of Grandeur" was released in Sweden and in September 2003 they released "Le Petomane" and the reviews are still fantastic. Parker are often compared to bands from the late seventies that played the New York cult club CBGB´s, like Blondie and The Ramones .
Voices about Parker:
"Ballsy frontlady Eva Parker belts out tunes that are full of unpredictable melodic twists and turns." Silver Juice
"... hook-heavy and unafraid to rock, and will bring to mind seminal outfits like The Heats and Buzzcocks." Leicester Bangs
"This band lets the Punk/New Wave homage build to a resounding ring of 21st century Rock for every fan whose ever wanted to Roll. " www.independisc.com
"While Klaus and Carlos Parker look like they stepped out of a Fassbinder film, Eva Parker has an equally interesting Anjelica Huston look - she's both stylish and zonked on pills. She sings with emotion and swagger, and it's captured perfectly by the superb production." www.splendidezine.com
"It kicks - but more of self-confidence and happiness than anger and angst - and you can sing along." Swedish Rock Document
